How does Virtual Consulting work?

The Virtual Consulting service is available to Camms customers with an active Camms.College subscription. To access this service, simply log into Camms.College and navigate to the “Consulting” page. You can then choose a consultant based on your requirement, and view their availability to schedule a virtual meeting at a time that suits you. Once the booking has taken place, your consultant’s time will be deducted from your organisation’s allocation of Camms.College hours.

How do I know if I'm eligible to make a Virtual Consulting booking?

The Virtual Consulting service is exclusive to Camms customers who have an active Camms.College subscription. You must have an allocation of ‘Consulting hours’ to use the service. To find out more information about the status of your subscription, email our support team at cammscollege@cammsgroup.com

How many remaining 'hours' does my organisation have?

Camms.College group administrators can login to the learning experience platform (LXP) to view the Service Hour widget on the dashboard. The widget displays the total allocation and utilisation of hours available for your organisation based on your Camms.College subscription.

Email our support team at cammscollege@cammsgroup.com for more information on your balance hours, or to get ‘group admin’ privileges in Camms.College.

Do my remaining Virtual Consulting hours get carried over to next year?

No. The allocation of Virtual Consulting hours are valid for a fixed subscription period, and will not be carried over to the next subscription period. All balance hours must be used against the available services prior to the end of the subscription period.

What areas of expertise are provided by Camms Consultants?

Product Specialists hold expert knowledge of the Camms software suite including solution settings, configuration options and functionality. These consultants are able to guide you through the entire system without a hitch.

Subject Matter Experts have an in-depth knowledge of their specialised subject fields relative to the different Camms software solutions including risk management, project management and strategic business planning.

Integration Specialists possess invaluable knowledge of the connections between your Camms software solution and other business systems, including finance, human resources, performance data, information and analytics.

Report Writing Specialists are highly skilled to meet your reporting needs conducted through SSRS, Camms.Insights and Business Intelligence reporting formats.

Implementation Specialists engage with consultants and Project Managers to set up and configure your Camms solution. They are also responsible for user acceptance testing and other reporting functionalities you may have.

Product Enablement Specialists facilitate the successful adoption and usage of the Camms solution within your organisation, ensuring that users understand the product’s features, functionalities, and best practices to maximise its value.

Can a consultant offer individual or group training?

Yes. Our product experts and implementation specialists can provide you with in-depth system training, while our reporting experts can provide training on report writing and Camms.Insights. For group training requirements, we recommend our Personalised Webinar service which offers key benefits.

How can I view the recording of my Virtual Consulting meeting?

Once your Virtual Consulting meeting has concluded, the meeting recording will be available to all meeting attendees via Camms.College under the ‘face-to-face learning’ category. Email our support team at cammscollege@cammsgroup.com for more information on your training recordings.

What types of reporting support do you provide?

Our Reporting experts provide support to create brand new reports or customise and modify existing report templates related to any of the Camms products (Camms.Risk, Camms.Strategy, Camms.Project, Camms.Talent). We specialise in various reporting techniques including Camms.Insights, SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), and Microsoft Power BI. View our work and refer our pre-built report templates at the Sample Report Library.

What is the difference between Insights reports, SSRS, and Power BI?

Insight reports are created using the Camms.Insights, which allows you to design your own reports easily with added flexibility, using the data entered into your Camms system. You can also use the drag and drop interface to create your own reports based on actions, measures, projects, risks, audits, and incidents regardless of technical ability.

SSRS also known as “SQL Server Reporting Services” Reports, are developed using Microsoft SQL Server Services by Camms Reporting Agents. These reports can be formatted with tables, graphs, images, and charts and developed to best suit your specific needs.

Power BI is a collection of software services, apps, and connectors that work together to turn your unrelated sources of data into visually immersive, and interactive dashboard(s). Microsoft Power BI lets you easily connect to your data sources, visualise (or discover) what is important, and share that with anyone you want.

How can I know which report technique will work best for me?

Generally, once a report request is submitted by you, our Reporting Consultants will assess and check the feasibility of developing the reports via Insights, SSRS or Power BI and proposes the best option to you.

You can also refer to the table below to select the best option.

How long will it take to develop my report?

All report deliveries run through a queue on a First-In-First-Out basis, so all deliveries will be scheduled according to the queue. Wireframes and specifications which are signed-off will be taken into the queue on the above First-In-First-Out basis.

How will you keep information and data safe from being used elsewhere?

All information within the Camms Reporting Hub, as well as information submitted and sent by the Reporting team, follow the Camms standard security policies. For a detailed idea of these security policies, you can visit the Camms Trust Centre page.
